Advanced INROOM ALL DAY class

Advanced INROOM class with SAC founder Chum Ehelepola

On occasion, Chum will offer an all day inroom class. This is an advanced class for experienced actors. In this session Chum will work with actors to discover their boundaries and help them navigate blocks and visit new realms, helping them realize themselves as actors. Experienced actors have very little avenues to test their skills, … UNTIL NOW!

In the past and present actors from shows such as Apples Never Fall, HeartBreak High, Priscilla, Last King of the Cross, North Shore, Home and Away, Family Law, Stateless and too many more to mention have graced the boards of this class.

The goal is to find failure, where is the edge of the performance and the actor? If we prescribe and pre determine our choices then we can never truly dare to experiment and see what our body can do when our head doesn’t try to control it with over analysis and “beats to hit”. A professional actors knows all the “beats”, “wants”, “turning points”, “subtext” and all the valuable acting jargon but how does an actor deliver these vital attributes of a scene and still surprise themselves? If you surprise yourself in a performance, then you will surprise your audience.

Chum is a top Australian actor starring in the hit show THE NEWSREADER for ABC, Mega budget Disney’s NAUTILUS, ONE NIGHT on Netflix and about to appear in Stan’s SUNNY NIGHTS.

What to expect?

Professional actors tend to overthink and try and do a “perfect” scene, which can be toxic and stress inducing. In this workshop Chum will show actors how to find peace, fun and spontaneity in their work.

SAC success is undeniable and we are excited to bring our unique and acclaimed style of advanced coaching to Perth. SAC actors are currently starring in Home and Away, HeartBreak High, Apples Never Fall and even winning the Heath Ledger Scholarship.

Actors will work on scenes, specifically curated to address their current issues. Actors will work infront of the camera, alongside another experienced actor to discover the scene and themselves. All work will be filmed and issued to each actor for viewing.
