Australia is having an influx of US work. And before Trump's foreign film tariffs scare US producers from filming in Australia, we suggest Australian actors master their accent and take advantage of the US work on our shores.

Danielle is the go-to accent coach in Australia and OS. She has recently worked as accent coach on TAIKA WAITITI, ELLEN BURSTYN, PAMELA ANDERSON feature film PLACE TO BE. She works in film, tv and stage and has a very grounded approach to accent work.

SAC American Accent Course begins SUNDAY MAY 25th from 10am to 12pm (AEST)
SAC American Accent Course is maximum 12 actors
SAC American Accent Course runs for 3 consecutive Sundays May 25th, June 1st and June 8th
SAC American Accent Course is for NON BEGINNER ACTORS ONLY
SAC American Accent Course will be an ONLINE ZOOM class. (This is NOT an inroom class)
COST: SAC enrolled actors $300, NON SAC Enrolled actors $330.
Actors will use actual scenes to work their accent. Actors will perform the scene, in their American accent with another actor as a two hander. This will put the actor in performance pressure, where the accent is most vulnerable. Under this pressure, Danielle will focus on each actors accent and offer notes and critic. Actors will then run the scene again, incorporating Danielle's notes.
As a non beginner studio, SAC wants this course to replicate the actual pressure actors are put on when it comes to the accent, which is why we are using the environment of 2 hander performances. Your accent is exposed, when in the depths of a performance.
Over 3 weeks, Danielle will help you understand you weak points and help you nail that accent and correct re-occurring problems.
