SAC founder Chum Ehelepola will be in Melbourne performing in Malthouse Theatre's BREAK OF DAY. While in town Chum will be taking the 8 week Melbourne Inroom.
Chum will bring his unique brand of NO BULLSHIT acting to this workshop. Having never attended drama school, Chum has built an enviable career. in Australia and Hollywood. Chum attests his success to his unconventional training, spending years on specific short courses, focussing his training to his needs. This inspired Chum to start Sydney Actors Collective, a professional short course acting studio for professional actors looking to work on specifics and step outside the box of convention. SAC has been successfully operating for over 15 years attracting some of Australia's (and overseas) most talented actors and coaches. It really is a place for legit actors to do legit acting.

Actors will receive a scene each week to memorize and perform in class. Actors will work with Chum on their scene, digging deeper and understanding their work further. Chum will help actors realise their work on a more nuanced and organic level. Actors need to REALIZE a character NOT PERFORM them. Chum will help actors find an organic, cerebral free performance, find their instincts and perform fearlessly unafraid of the scene failing and letting go of control.
THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR EXPERIENCED ACTORS ONLY. ACTORS MAYBE ASKED TO SUBMIT CREDENTIALS.
